Josh Gauton is a songwriter, musician and worship leader who strives to create music that inspires, challenges and connects people with Jesus.
His songs balance beautiful and diverse melodies with lyrical themes that articulate the complexities of life, faith and emotion, and a number of these songs have featured on the recording projects of multiple artists and collectives. Live, Josh blends artistry and energy with the prophetic and a desire for people to experience the love of God.
Originally hailing from Kent, Josh is now based in Birmingham, UK, where he leads as part of the Worship Central collective, as well as being its’ Creative Director. He was also part of the team that planted St Luke’s Gas Street in a move from London in 2015.
In 2016 Josh released his independent debut EP ‘As The Waters Rise’ - a sonic landscape ranging from minimalist electronic beats through to anthemic guitar riffs, paired with deep lyrical content and haunting vocals throughout. Since then, he has featured on both Worship Central’s ‘Mercy Road’ studio album and its’ soon-to-be-released (and named!) 2018 live album.
In 2018, Josh will be recording and releasing his debut LP album.
